How do kids check in?
There is a registration table at the entrance to the main service where you can meet a member of the team and register your child. You’ll be asked for contact details and whether there are any allergies or conditions we should be aware of. We have groups for 3-5s, 6-8s, 9-11s and youth aged 11-18. We are flexible on age ranges if siblings would like to stay together.
Who will be looking after my kids?
All of our children’s workers go through a reference and DBS check in order to work with the children. We undergo regular safeguarding training to ensure that your child is safe in our care. We work in teams so there will always be at least 2 adults in the room with the children.
What will you use to teach my kids?
We base our sessions on ‘Godly Play’ which is a very child-led approach to children’s work. We share a story from the Bible together using objects and colour, and then we use ‘wonder’ questions to think more deeply about it. After that we encourage the children to respond to the story in their own way through a range of craft materials, playing through the stories or working on a project together. Your child will encounter the Bible in a visual, tactile, sensory way in our sessions and through that we aim to help them explore and understand more about God.
3-5sA safe place to explore and have funWe use stories and play to wonder together about the big questions surrounding God, life and the Bible. Our 3-5s can be found singing, doing drama, playing games, enjoying crafts and exploring the Bible in a child-friendly way. 
6-8sGetting excited about God and sharing the BibleIn 6-8s we start digging a little deeper as we enjoy sharing the Bible stories together. We wonder about where we find ourselves in the stories and what God might be saying. As a response to God we build, create, make and collaborate!
We have sensory spaces and work to adapt our resources for children who have additional needs. 
9-11sMaking connections about God, the Bible, Church and ourselvesIn 9-11s we are helping older children to really begin to explore what the Bible stories mean for their everyday lives. We share stories across the whole Bible, encouraging children to ask the question, "are there any other stories that help us tell this one?" We spend time wondering, praying, enjoying the Bible and spending time with each other. We want children to respond to God for themselves and have a variety of ways that we use to connect to God through play, craft, drawing, animation, experiments, prayer, and fun. We love to take our sessions outside when the weather is good!
